San Juan, Puerto Rico
My Uber driver put it best, you feel like you’re in a different destination when exploring Puerto Rico. From the urban oasis of San Juan where Miami-esque beachside condos touch the sky in Condado to the aged feel of Viejo San Juan. From the tropical rainforest of El Yunque to the calming crystal blue waters that scatter about the island.
The warmth is felt from Puerto Rico; both from the weather as well as the people. If you only have a few days in San Juan, exploring the history is a must! But do yourself a favor and take in other areas this city has to offer.
San Juan offers its fair share of Hilton’s and Hyatt hotels to stay but, if you’re looking for something a bit more luxurious, you will need to venture out for that. The good thing is, there is a healthy amount of AirBNB rentals that you can chose from if that is your thing. I personally look forward to the development of hotel accommodations I know this city can offer.

To understand that Puerto Rico is rich in history is important. To take in the history is a must! But, if you want to indulge in a local experience, visit a few art galleries or museums to understand the culture beyond its history. Venture away from the rough beaches of San Juan to the more tranquil waters that lie miles away.
