Miami City Guide

What Las Vegas is for some people is what Miami has become for me! A playground full of sun, beaches, art and food full of sabor! My first time visiting Miami was in 2005 and while a fun trip, I wasn’t able to experience Miami for what it is. Years later, tales of Art Basel begin to entice my interest, which leads me to know that Miami is more than just beaches! There is also a vibrant art scene as well! Fast forward to August of 2022 and then again April 2023, where weekend trips to Miami were had. Here is my short and sweet guide to Miami!

1 Hotel South Beach

Stay

If you are looking for a South Beach experience and have the budget, I recommend 1 South Beach Hotel. 1 Hotels are known for its sustainability and natural elements and walking into 1 South Beach, it is definitely prevalent. The suites are comfortable and having prime access to the beach is a plus.

If you crave more of a low-key yet still lively Miami experience, make your way to Coconut Grove. I stayed at Mr. C Coconut Grove and it was a nice experience. It is in a great location walking distance to many great restaurants…one you will still come to learn. The rooms are comfortable as well giving off the old Hollywood glamour vibe.

If you want something in between, that is not quite South Beach yet a comfortable distance to get to, opt for The Standard Miami. A child free, chill oasis located in Biscayne Bay. When booking a room, I Suggest you request one that is not a step away from the lobby or further inside the property. This will hopefully reduce the noise level you may experience if you are booked in the first few rooms.
